This movie was a flawless masterpiece. I shouldnt have read the comments. Now Im mad at words (comments) I havent even read and at myself for being American. That was literally the most insane movie I've ever watched, I love it I love it so much.

If you guys enjoyed Parasite I recommend you check out Burning next! Its on Netflix and its also a Korean film thatll mess with your head! It was also nominated for best international film a couple of years ago. And the Oscar goes to. Just won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language film. I encourage everyone to go watch this great film. At 1:47 when Ki Taek was trying to convince Mrs Park, look at the right side. A mother is tugging & playing with a young child. This to me resembles how naive & innocent Mrs Park was; easily duped just like a child. Also the same thing when when Ki Taek took picture of the housekeeper. There was a mother & child there. Representing the housekeeper as an innocent victim. When they are at the car park note G5. The scene was around 5 mins & the scams were also done in 5 acts. First peach dust thrown by Ki Woo, Second KiTaek took the photo, Third convincing Mrs Park, Fourth peach dust thrown by Ki Jung & Fifth the bloody tissue.

This is the movie that deserves Best Picture. People should stop looking at foreign films as foreign films. It doesnt matter where the film was made. Film is film. This film begins as a comedy until halfway through when it becomes a heavy-handed drama. How? By making the characters act out of character.
Up until that point, the characters have been living by their wits. Their con of the rich family is subtle and smart. Then for no reason other than the need for a plot flip, they become stupid.
The key moment occurs when a video leads to blackmail. However, the people being blackmailed have a completely obvious response. They can reveal the blackmailer's spouse, who is hiding from desperate trouble.
At the same time, the thing they're being blackmailed for is minor and the characters as presented would have a good chance of talking their way out of it. Instead, they totally ignore the obvious which leads to the ludicrous second half of the movie.
The comedy is now over. Instead of the self-evident continuation of the "blackmailer's spouse" dilemma, which would have provided the director's social commentary using a comedy angle, the film reverses direction. The film has the same social commentary as before, but through tragedy and violence.
By the end, everything good has gone bad. The Director tries to slightly mitigate it by having a character fantasize about a future that character could never achieve. All in all, a real downer of a movie due to that ending occurring because the obvious is ignored.

Lines people use when watching this movie: “OH MY GOD!” “Oh no... ” “OH NO!” “No... ” “NO!” “Please dont.” “Are you kidding me? ” “OH FCK!”. “definitely my favourite five minutes of the year” laughs in sex related scorn. Woah lots of interesting shots, looks like they went full on “Every Frame a Painting. Definitely going to watch. At first sight I gave 10, but being close to the end of the movie I was thinking. no, no 10, but 8" because I doubted how they could miss what was with Moon-gwang, and then the story mentioned what was with her and I moved back to 10. The whole concept is great, from the story, music and photography to acting and style. Next to that is there are many genres in one. Also, in several moments it drives you to think about many things how would you react, gives mockery and shows the human nature, essentially.

This is so perfect, the music, the rythm, the montage, the movement... Heard this movie was good, got curious, rented and loved it! It's a really interesting story that didn't seem like no other. Both Jessica and the rich husband have the exact same shot in the bath tub, in the end it's both of them who die. 0:37 I dont think enough people talk about that little moment. The Pizza Delivery girl who they once worked for is now serving them pizza. Its not about the poor vs the rich its about the poor vs the poor.

 

Best Picture. Best Picture. Best Picture. The Academy awarded Best Picture to a film NOT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. Kudos to Bong Joon-Ho, who also won Best Director. Yay. Who come & watch this trailer after OSCAR awards 2020? Hit like here👍👍👍.
